We've been in existence in our current form since 2012, competing in the Presidents Grade (over 40’s) in Auckland.

Initially, the results were a bit of a rollercoaster but as the old bones decalcified and the correct lubricants were worked out we became one of the teams in the competition to disrespect at your peril, culminating in us winning the Auckland Championship in 2016.

Results have been solid since then and we narrowly missed out in playing in the Grand Final this past season, finishing in 3rd spot – something we’re pretty proud of given we’re generally spotting the opposition about 10 years a player.

Age wise, we do have a couple of youngsters (40-45) and the rest are a mix from late 40’s through to “What the hell are you doing back this season?”, and all are Legends in their own Lunchtime.

We see the upcoming Golden Oldies as a massive opportunity to broaden our bellies, minds and cricketing experiences as the furthest we’ve been on tour so far is our regular post-season sojourn to sunny Mangawhai beach, about 70 km’s north of Auckland, though a number of us have prior personal experience of cricket in the UK.

Some of us have also played representative cricket in earlier years and are keen to see how we measure up against seasoned campaigners from other climes.

Our tour will also involve a fortnight of matches around England as preparation for the Main Event, so we will either be fizzing or flogged by the time we get to ‘arrogate.

We can't wait to see you all there!
